A Little Haul

Welcome to my craft Room. This is an all over the place Blog today! I wanted to show a little sneak peek of my Guest DT Project, then a small HAUL, then a Gab Fest, and last....I started to Copic colour my little image with the few minutes left....Only thing, it wasn't in the frame have the time...soooo sorry! I worked 14 hours straight on my project, and I was very tired to begin with...lol Just a fun one on one talk today! Smiles. My project will be finished Wednesday. Thank you, and see you soon!  

A shopping trip, and small HAUL

Good Morning, and welcome to my craft room. I was delighted to spend a day with my sister. Her name is Diane, and she is two years younger than me. Since the passing of our sweet Mom, we four girls promised our Mom that we would stay close, and not lose sight that it was our Mom that was the binding force that kept us all together, and now that she is in Heaven, we needed to keep that bond we shared even stronger. Our sweet Mom knew ahead of time that we are all busy woman, and it would be easy to let a month go by without keeping in touch. She made us promise to focus on each other as much as possible, and spend quality time together. We have kept that promise, and once a month, we all meet for a dinner date, and to catch up on what each of us is doing. It is a wonderful time, and I highly recommend it for all families that have a Mom that is no longer with them. Our Mom was wise, right up to the hour she went to be with the Blessed Lord. I hope you enjoy a little bit of our time out together. We literally shopped the entire day, not thinking to stop  for nourishment. haha I want to leave a short reminder that my 1K YouTube Celebration is upcoming. Part 2 of 2 How to make a Recessed Window Card

 

Thank you for joining me once again for the second half of this Recessed Window Card. I really lost track of the time on my camera. I was so busy getting into this card, I completely forgot. Here is the finished process for you. I will post the final pictures tomorrow. I am planning on doing a major craft shop over in the States tomorrow. It has been months, and I have not bought any Craft Supplies. I just can't take any more. hahahaha I hope to get some good buys. My list has been placed in my IPad. I have so many wonderful products I'd like to get. I will try and keep my shopping to a sensible level. It is so hard for me to walk out of a store with something I really wanted. Recessed Window Card Part 1 of 2

Now, here is the Window Card I came up with, and I think you will enjoy making this well known technique. I was over on Split Coast Stamper's to see a recessed window card, and built from what I saw there. You can run with the window size any way you like. I depends on what size image you are wanting to place in the Window section. Just have fun with it. The front panel is measured at 10" x 6 1/2 scored at the 4 3/4" mark, and again at the 5" mark. This will give you a 1/4" gusset. You score again at 9 3/4" to give you another 1/4" strip at the end. The next card base you will prepare for the back portion, is cut at 11" x 6 1/2". You will score at the 2 10/16, and at 2 14/16, leaving you with another 1/4" gusset. Follow along, and score again at 8" and 8 1/4. You now have the back panel as seen on the video. Place your rectangle dies at any position you want for the actual window. If you have any questions, please leave a comment, and I will get back to you as soon as I can. For the flowers and the socks I combined some of the dress colors, and the hair colors to make a kind of sherbet color combo. I also used Black and White Ranger Enamel Accents for the shoes, and the dress dots.
