An Explosion Box in a Box....Part 2 of 3

Welcome to my craft room today! Here is the second portion of this video, showing my version of an Explosion Box in a Box. I hope you will enjoy the process with me. I'm going to show you some pics of the actual Box, on the inside. I have to move swiftly on this project, because I'm giving its to my friend, for her daughter that is turning 18 on Saturday. I will download the finished video in the morning. Thank you for viewing the process with me, even though it is very slow going!...lol

Explosion Box in a Box, and small haul

Thanks for dropping by my Craft Room! I'm going to make an explosion box, in a box. My friend's daughter turns 18 on Saturday, and I thought this would be different for her to open, instead of a card...lol..I've never done one like this, and I want to design it with my own personality, and design, so it will be in 2 or 3 parts to complete. Hope you don't mind the length of it, but I promise the results will be pretty. I also received a small haul, and I'm going to compare the new Michael's 110 lb. Cardstock with others I have. Please Enjoy!

Fun Shopping Day, and a few Order's have arrived!

Welcome to my Craft Room today! It has been awhile since I've been in my Craft Room, since going back to work. Five days left, and I'm back to my RETIREMENT STATIS...lol...I was off today, so I decided to go shopping...fancy that!...haha...An order from Ellen Hutson arrived today as well, so I thought I'd show you what I received. I also bought 2, 110lb. White CARDSTOCK from Michael's that everyone seems to like. I forgot to get them out and show you. I will try them on a card to see what I think of the weight. I was watching a few video's, and the person's using it, had great reviews. I will try it tomorrow. I also received some beautiful THANKYOU ribbon in the order box from Ellen, for placing my order. It was nicely packaged, with a pretty note! Please enjoy this HAUL, and I'll see you on the Explosion Box Project I'm starting tomorrow. Enjoy your week!

Inside of Festive Corn Card using a paper napkin technique...video to follow

Festive Corn drawing, using Distress Water Colour....Video is uploading.

Water Colour with Distress Inks

Thanks for dropping by my Craft Room today. I was inspired to draw, and water colour these beautiful ears of festive corn after viewing the Frugal Crafter. I am doing a smaller version with the distress markers to place in a Challenge over on Stamp Nation. The colour challenge fit this sketch perfectly. I have to admit I scaled down the one from this video that I messed up...lol...I made it over on a 6x7 inch card base. I'll be doing a napkin transfer technique, and a truly FALL VINTAGE CARD, that we all know I love to create, rather than CLEAN AND SIMPLE, any day..lol..lol...Thank you for taking the time to view my Blog. It means so much! Please give this sketch a try. It is delightful once you get started. See you on the next video! Enjoy

A very small Thrift Store, Dollar Store Haul

Thanks for joining me in my Craft Room today. I had these bags of Thrift Store goodies sitting in the corner since last week. I was so sick the last three days it didn't bother me in the least!..lol...I know I'm a bit over the edge when it comes to a clean craft room, but truly, it affects my thinking process when there's a mess around my space...haha. I needed to put these away today, because I'm back to work tomorrow, and Friday, so I wanted my room spit spot clean! After the room tidy up thing, I cased a water colour painting from today's Frugal Crafter tutorial I saw over on Google +. I actually did one larger, and one 6x6 for a card entry I'm doing over on Stamp Nation! It is a painting of Festive Corn, and thoroughly enjoyable to paint with Distress Inks. It is uploading as I type this, and I think you'll love to give it a try yourself. Enjoy!

Clean and Simple ROSES

Welcome back to my craft room! I tried another Oval Clean and Simple card using a Rose stamp. I added some diamond bling, because I had a few little spots that needed hid...lol. These kind of cards take some thought for me, but when completed, I really like them! Please enjoy.

A Clean and Simple Card

Welcome to my Craft Room. I have been sick, and haven't been in my craft room all week. I tried to do a few video's for you, because I really missed not getting in here to create something! I love Clean and Simple cards, but find them a real challenge. I think it's because I tend to want to fill up all the card stock, thus taking away the CLEAN look! LOL...I have been working on the one or two layer cards lately, and I have to say that I'm liking it very much! Please enjoy!

Japanese Maple Part 2 of 2

Thank you for joining me in my Craft Room today, and was it hot!..lol...I can't believe what happened with this tile today! It was not coming together, no matter how hard I tried to get the look of the Japanese Maple to come to life on the tile with the Alcohol Inks. Phew, that was a mouthful....lol...It seemed to spread itself uncontrollably, and after I got thinking about it, I really believe the heat played a big part in the results today! It was not as thick as it usually is when I'm pouring it on the tile, which was warmer due to the heat of the room...lol...I'm not totally satisfied with the results because of this! I ended up using acrylic paint, which would not have been a choice, if the alcohol inks were behaving....smiles! However, I always come away from my projects learning what to do next, and what not to do! Haha...In this scenario however, I should have used the acrylic paint for the leaves as well, to tie it together texturally! I will try this again, using swans, and lily pads as my focal points! One thing I can tell you about this technique, and that is....ONCE YOU TRY IT...YOURE HOOKED!  Thanks for meeting with me in my Craft Room! Please Enjoy!

Japanese Maple Tree using Alcohol Inks

Thank you for joining me in my Craft Room. I was inspired by a picture I saw of a Japanese Maple Tree today on Google +. I have some extra 8x6 tiles I bought at Lowe's for my Birch Tree project last month, and thought I'd use one of those for this Japanese Maple Tree. It is in 2 parts unfortunately, and this is the first half of this pretty tree scenery. I will go finish this for you, and will see you on Part 2! Enjoy!
